A filter applied to Android software, not a matter of taste: clones out, ad-stuffed builds out, abandoned projects out.
Curation is a matter of opinion. Signal APKs runs a fixed set of checks instead: is this a real build, is it still maintained, is it drowning in ad placements. An app either clears the filter or it does not.
Package identity, developer identity, update history and ad density are checked before anything is listed. None of those checks can be skipped for a fee.
Every page here is built ahead of time, so nothing waits on a database query or a slow ad script before it renders.
If a clone or a dead project slipped past the filter, say so through the contact form. It gets pulled.
Repackaged clones, builds that exist mainly to serve ads, and projects with no update in years. All three are noise, and none of them are listed here.
Signal APKs is maintained by a small team who got tired of install pages that could not tell a real app from a repackaged one.
The filter is reapplied as apps update, and anything that stops being maintained is removed rather than left to sit in the listings.
